How would you respond?

I was trying my best to deal with the present situation ...increasingly and rapidly getting out-of-control.  One of my co-workers seemed to be enjoying the melee.  Another one later admitted to going into the bathroom to pray.  Another co-worker went into the adjacent office to call the building supervisor.

I didn't actually feel it was that out-of-control ...if someone would have just attempted to join me. But, I felt kind of like I was on my own ...until the supervisor arrived.

She began hollering at us workers to straighten the chairs, and pick up the books and magazines strewn throughout the room ...as a result of the kids free-for-all.  The kids did settle down temporarily, appearing stunned by the irate supervisor hollering at us for what they had done.  I kind of think the kids thought she was a bit nuts, and feared they better not test it further.

Yes, the supervisor commanded respect ...but it was not of the type that would bring about changed behavior. The respect did not go beyond the title ...of supervisor. What was learned was to carefully choose the best time to demonstrate the unruly behavior.

Many times a distraction is provided in the place of real solutions.  I admit, that in crisis situations ...a distraction may be the life-saving choice of action.  But, when that critical stage is past ...real solutions should be discussed.  Yet, it is still problematic to decide who is the most qualified, competent, and skilled.

Sometimes a distraction is the opposite of a life-changing action.   Sometimes it is a deceitful diversion.  Or perhaps it is just an unqualified decision.

With the increased threat of violence being uttered throughout our world.  With angry nations involved in arm's build-ups, and unleashing chemical weapons ...why would we instead talk about global warming, and the yet to be seen devastation claimed by that theory?  Why would we focus on that distraction, which causes no immediate danger?  Are we nuts!!

Yes, things have demanded our attention ...yet, we ignore them. And other things could wait ...should wait, yet we treat them as urgent.

Our attention should be on God ...and we should not ignore what is written in His Word.  How long will we wait?  Are we waiting for the tide to turn ...for the majority of our society to turn against Him?  Or is that too late?

It's more than a heart problem ...it's a mental problem.  I have some experience, but I suggest everyone seek professional help ...and I believe the qualified, goes by the name, Jesus.
