Yes, the supervisor commanded respect ...but it was not of the type that would bring about changed behavior. The respect did not go beyond the title ...of supervisor. What was learned was to carefully choose the best time to demonstrate the unruly behavior.

Many times a distraction is provided in the place of real solutions.  I admit, that in crisis situations ...a distraction may be the life-saving choice of action.  But, when that critical stage is past ...real solutions should be discussed.  Yet, it is still problematic to decide who is the most qualified, competent, and skilled.

Sometimes a distraction is the opposite of a life-changing action.   Sometimes it is a deceitful diversion.  Or perhaps it is just an unqualified decision.

With the increased threat of violence being uttered throughout our world.  With angry nations involved in arm's build-ups, and unleashing chemical weapons ...why would we instead talk about global warming, and the yet to be seen devastation claimed by that theory?  Why would we focus on that distraction, which causes no immediate danger?  Are we nuts!!
